Junior Nationals prep is well underway at the ACA. With those preparations comes the hiring of our summer intern!

Jaid Runft, from Scandia, KS, and is currently a junior at Fort Hays State University majoring in ag communications. She has shown Charolais cattle for 14 years and continues to stay active on both the state and national junior levels. Jaid served on the Charolais board and held numerous offices in the Kansas Junior Charolais Association. Recently Jaid was named Champion Heifer at the National Charolais Show in Fort Worth this year. She has been fortunate enough to gain new friendships and relationships that allow her to travel the United States exhibiting other breeds of cattle and finding success with those people. Jaid’s interests include expanding her small Charolais herd and finding ways to improve them each year. Jaid also would like to be able to influence the lives of youth through agriculture and breed association work. Her hobbies include spending time with family, playing volleyball, and going to jackpot shows with the Nikkel Bros from McPherson Kansas.
