The Summit IGS Youth Leadership Conference (hosted jointly with the Chianina, Shorthorn, Gelbvieh, Simmental and Limousin associations) is an every other year conference that allows youth the opportunity to develop leadership skills that can be used in their future, as well as a place to gain new friendships, experience a new college campus and expand their knowledge on the current issues of the agricultural industry.
The weekend event is held in the summer at a different major university to give youth a feel for a college setting and to experience what that college offers.
Participation is not limited to Chianina juniors; anyone interested in the agricultural industry is encouraged to attend!
This is a great opportunity for AJCA members to gather outside of our normal show setting and learn from top industry leaders, visit new places and meet new people.
Open to juniors age 14-21 (as of Jan. 1, 2023).
